The Basics: Intro to Patient Profiles

Patient profiles show you all the tasks for a specific patient. Based on your organization’s subscription level and third-party integrations, you might also be able to see much of the administrative information pulled over from your EHR.

Click Patients on your left menu bar to view your patient lists. At a glance, you can see important patient information, including discrete data fields like diagnoses, provider names or insurance information. Below that are all tasks for that specific patient, aggregated from all lists you have access to in your Dock account.

View archived tasks to see what you and your team have done for a patient in the past.

View notes to see important administrative details and context for this patient’s care. Notes don’t repeat the patient’s information at the top of their profile — they’re meant to house relevant administrative details so you can provide the best care.

You can also upload files to patient profiles, like a document including details of an allergy treatment plan or an image of an MRI. Uploading pertinent files helps you keep all your administration information organized.

Click “View details” next to a patient’s name in their profile to open the drawer with important information, like demographics and insurance carrier. Patient details are typically included when you import a patient list from your EHR. You can edit this section by clicking the three dots on the top right of your screen, then clicking “Edit”.

To include more information like service need, scroll to the end of the patient’s Drawer and click “Add or edit fields” at the bottom.
