TIP: Easier Access to Action Buttons
In your List View, crucial action buttons now are closer together, enabling you to adjust views to more quickly find and update tasks and workflows.
As part of our recent update to the Dock platform -- a user interface refresh designed to enhance your productivity and streamline your interactions on Dock -- we moved crucial action buttons closer together, enabling quicker and more efficient access to the features you use most often. This article provides an overview of these changes and how they can benefit your daily workflow.
What's Changed?
In our continuous effort to improve your Dock experience, we reorganized buttons that allow you to change your view, group tasks and workflows, and more. Previously, these buttons were spread across the interface, requiring more time and effort to navigate between functions. With the new design, these buttons are now grouped closer together, based on common user tasks and the frequency of use.
Benefits of the New Button Arrangement
Reduced Navigation Time: With buttons that are logically grouped, you'll find that moving between tasks is quicker and more intuitive.
Enhanced Focus: By minimizing the distance your cursor needs to travel on the screen, you can focus on the task at hand without unnecessary distractions.
Simplified User Interface: A cleaner and more organized layout allows for a less cluttered interface, making it easier to find the functions you need without any confusion.
Navigate the New Layout
To help you adjust to these changes, here's a quick guide on navigating the new button layout within Dock:
Commonly Used Features: Look for a cluster of navy action buttons across all Dock pages. These typically include frequently used actions like Customize, Filters, and oftentimes, Groups.
Hover Information: When in doubt, hover your mouse over a button to see a quick tooltip that describes its function or use the "^" carrot next to the button to expose grouped options.
Best Practices for Using the New Layout
Spend a few minutes exploring the new layout to familiarize yourself with the location of various buttons.
If our Dock experience supports customization, arrange the buttons in a way that best suits the way you want to work.
