  1. An athenahealth customer who is interested in Dock Health will first need to sign an Authorization and Consent Form (A&C). They can find it in the athena MarketPlace or we can provide it to them when they submit their interest in Dock Health by clicking on “Get Started Now”.

  2. They will be asked to put in their contact information including Practice name and Practice ID. This may take 1-2 days for athena to complete but once signed, users will be able to connect to Dock seamlessly from athenaNet and a patient’s chart.

  3. Dock can be accessed from three different areas in athenaNet. The first way is to simply find it under the Apps tab from the upper menu bar. Accessing Dock by this route will take you to the Dock home page. Once the A&C form is signed and athena has processed the request, Dock Health should appear in this dropdown menu.

  4. Dock can also be accessed directly from a patient’s chart and will navigate directly to the patient profile and associated tasks for that patient. The patient-specific view can be accessed in two ways, the first is from the “hamburger” or three horizontal lines on the top right corner of a patient’s chart. From there, a dropdown menu will display “Third Party Apps” where Dock Health should be listed.

  5. Another way to navigate to a patient-specific task list in Dock is to click on the Dock Health link. This can be found on the “Quickview” page of a patient’s chart and in the “Chart Home/Links/Care Summary” section. There, you will find a clickable link to Dock Health.

  6. To be able to access your Dock Health account outside of athenaNet, you will need to create an account with the same email address associated with your athenaNet account. Please navigate to the Create Account page on Dock Health and simply fill in the details with your athenaNet email address and create a password. You will then be able to access Dock on any web browser or on the iPhone App Store.
